How change affects us

It is so interesting with change, like the one we are in now, on how it affects us.

A friend of mine highlighted this for herself which made me look at myself. I noticed when I went to the supermarket a few weeks back, I went to the meat section to choose something for the week and felt like wanting to throw up. In this moment, my body didn’t need this at this time. I eat meat most of the time generally, but am finding I am wanting more vegetables and fruit now. And I have noticed when I had changes in the past, my body would react with meat. Not eating meat does not mean I will not eat meat ever again. It just means that I am listening to my body right now in giving it what it needs to sustain itself while we go through these changes.

Here are some other observations I have seen for myself during this time:

πŸ’œ I am finding my voice to stand up for myself, saying no and setting my boundaries.
πŸ’œ Walking more often. Short walks in the morning, after lunch and/or after work. Also walk further distances.
πŸ’œ Daily grounding. Putting my feet on to mother earth. Decreasing my emotions and feeling less scattered.
πŸ’œ Meditating. It helps me to detach from my worries and increases my breath deeply and longer.
πŸ’œ Journaling. It helps me to jot down my feelings and thoughts.
πŸ’œ Cooking nutritious foods. Incorporating more fruit and vegetables in my diet.
πŸ’œ Enjoying online classes/workshops. There is so much to learn and this is a good time to access these online.
πŸ’œ Supporting small businesses near my house.
πŸ’œ Meeting and talking to my neighbours.
πŸ’œ Talking to my family and friends through video chat.

What are your experiences? Tell me in the comments below how this change has affected you. What are the things you are doing now that you weren’t doing before?
